FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a foot massage and foot reflexology?
Foot massage focuses on muscle relaxation and general well-being.
Foot reflexology goes further: it uses precise pressure on points of the arch of the foot, which reflexology links to different parts of the body.
At the Mairesia salon, we combine both approaches for a complete treatment tailored to your needs.
What are the contraindications for foot massage?
Foot massage is not recommended if you have a recent fracture in the foot, phlebitis, a skin infection (fungal infection, verruca) or a fever.
People with diabetes should consult their doctor beforehand.
How often should I come?
You’ll feel the benefits from the very first session : lightness, relaxation, rested feet.
If you would like to make it a ritual, one session every two to four weeks is a good rhythm.
But a massage now and then does you good too : come whenever you feel like it.
Is foot massage suitable for pregnant women?
Foot massage is very popular during pregnancy, for relaxation and a feeling of light legs.
However, certain reflex zones must be avoided.
We recommend our pregnancy massage, designed for the 2nd trimester onwards with adapted techniques.
Do you offer other massages in Villeurbanne?
The Mairesia salon offers a full range of treatments , all of high quality: wellness massage, back massage, couples massage, four-hands massage, pregnancy massage.
